The new Cartridge is a custom (Apollon HD 5000) replacement cartridge for the MELOS & UNIVOX Echo Chamber These cartridges have been customized to the same speciation as the Apollon HD 5000 (15 Meters of new tape rewind into them) . The cartridges are very hard to find and usually come in the form of Dictaphone answer cartridges which only have about 30 sec loop on them which means they will not last very long. With the 15 meters of tape in the cartridge this is the length that was used in all the apollon HD 5000 and recommended by MELOS
This cartridge is an idea replacement for the Appollon HD 5000 which was used in the MELOS & UNIVOX Echo machines. The HD 5000 is not available anymore but these new cartridges are as good as the originals and are perfect to keep your machine working.
We also offer a service where we can recondition & rewind your old cartridge with new fresh tape. You send us your old cartridge and we will wind in new replacement tape, replace the felt bushes (if need replacing) and test to make sure there are no problems. The length of the tape will be the same length as the Apollon HD 5000 so you get back a fully working cartridge. Please note this service takes up to 14 working days for the cartridge to be returned to you. N.B Please note we can only offer this service if the cartridge you are sending is in full working order (not the tape) and we will inspect the cartridge before we commence the refurb. You will be notfied if the cartridge is un usable. |
